Blackberries

Here in Scotland, these iconic berries are known as 'Brambles' and they can be seen growing in hedgerow all over. These are a staple of fruit foraging and are also reminders of childhood. They can be sweet and sour, depending on the berry you bite into. They are great in a crumble with apples, or blended into a fruity smoothie for a burst of purple goodness. They do make a mess of your clothes, so be warned!
