Medium-sized chilli peppers with a mild to moderate amount of heat, used to flavour everything from salsa to chili to salad dressing. They can be eaten whole, stuffed with cheese, breaded and deep-fried. Jalapeños can be pickled and served as a condiment, or as a topping for nachos and tacos.
