During the school holidays, we typically experience a large number of pause requests and we also receive a surge in last-minute cancellations. This leads to a large reduction in income and huge surplus of stock, the costs of which we cannot absorb. To help manage this, we implement a small change to our usual process.
There are no changes for ordering items and for pausing your box online: the deadline is 10am every Wednesday. This is 7-9 days before your box is due, depending on your delivery day. This can never be changed via the website.
However, during the school holidays pauses made after the deadline will be fully chargeable. Details are below.
Once the deadline passes, changes CANNOT be made to your box and all cancellations/pauses will be fully charged to your account, including all top-up items. This deadline is non-negotiable, so it's essential to plan ahead.
If you're pausing for more than one week, you will only be charged for the week where the deadline has passed.
There is a two-week notice period for ending your subscription. This does not change and you will be charged for any boxes due in that 2-week period.
If you can't take your box and the deadline has passed, why not donate your box to charity? We partner with CFine in Aberdeen to help get fresh organic produce to local families. It'd be a shame to be charged for food going to waste.
There are several opportunities to ensure you've paused for the correct dates, so we politely request that customers take advantage of these. We've made it super easy for you to manage your deliveries:
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. As always, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support and custom.
