
Native to South America, this little fruit is packed full of nutrients. It is packed full of fibre, vitamins A and C, iron and potassium. It has a wonderful sharp but sweet flavour, which can be used to cut through heavier and richer foods like yoghurt and cheesecake. It can be added to salads and smoothies, but it is wonderful to eat on its own. Just cut the fruit in half and scoop out the flesh. You can crunch the seeds or just swallow whole.
