Red onion squash, also known as Red Kuri or Uchiki Kuri, is a sweet, nutty winter squash with a teardrop shape and a rich, chestnut-flavored flesh. It is a small tear-drop shaped variety. Its skin is edible (once cooked), and it is highly versatile, making it excellent for soups, roasting, or mashing.
